Aqueous extract of Inonotus obliquus was hydrolyzed in dilute hydrochloric acid. The products were extracted applying organic solvents, and separated chromatographically on a silica gel-packed column. Eluted fractions were analyzed by means of GC-MS. The presence of hydrocarbons, alcohols, phenols and various carbonyl compounds in analyzed fractions has been detected and quantified. Preliminarily experiments on the influence of certain separated samples on the proliferation of A549 human lung carcinoma cells were performed. Therefore, we hypothesize that the major antiproliferative effects are related to the presence of benzaldehyde, which is a benzyl alcohol metabolite formed in situ in the cells culture with the yield moderated by the presence of trace amounts of "high molecular mass compounds".

The increasing trend of data volume and its superabundance have been endangering institutional data and specifically, higher education institutions (HEI) students’ data. The most challenging is the need for HEI to make sense from their large datasets, through gaining insights and understanding the pattern and trends of events therein. Deductions from extant literatures strongly indicate the presence of information overload as the factor constraining HEI decision makers from making wealthy use of the institutional datasets. However, no study has empirically investigated the presence of information overload in HEI students’ data management. To attend to this, this study aims at developing an instrument to be used in measuring the presence of information overload, and justifiably, the need for Information Visualization (InfoVis) –being an argued better tool for institutional data management. This study employs quantitative research method with administration of 9- item survey questionnaire. Thirty-two (32) respondents are purposively drawn among HEI decision makers. Descriptive statistics is used as the statistical technique to find the mean value of the computed variable based on the normal Likert 5-point scale. The result of the instrument reliability test gives a value of 0.712 as the Cronbach’s Alpha value which suggests that the items designed are internally consistent, and a weighted mean value of 4.03 strongly supports the hypothesis that HEI experiences information overload.

Abstract: The access of people with disabilities to museums has become a major issue of interest for museums. Individuals with visual disabilities, which is one of the target groups of the present project, face many barriers regarding their access to museums, since museums are considered as spaces " of seeing " and " do not touch ". The present project titled " Bridging the Gap between Museums and Individuals with Visual Impairments " aims to support museums to develop various practices in order to enhance the access and inclusion of people with visual disability into their context and content. Museums, as audience-centered spaces, are required to enhance the access and inclusion of individuals with visual disability. However, this is a challenging task for museums and requires the collaboration between museums and organizations involved in the education and the protection of individuals with visual disabilities. This need for collaboration and interagency partnerships is the basis of the project, which aims to bridge the gap between museums and individuals with visual disabilities.

A School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a roadmap that lays down specific interventions that a school, with the help of the community and other stakeholders, undertakes within a period of three (3) consecutive school years. It aims to improve the three key result areas in basic education: access, quality, and governance.
SIP Annexes are supplementary documents that provide detailed information and guidance on specific aspects of the SIP, such as school planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation. These annexes are designed to assist teachers, principals, and other school stakeholders in implementing the SIP effectively and efficiently.

Document Purpose and Intent. For the purposes of this resource guide, shelter in place (SIP) is defined as: A protective action strategy taken to maintain resident care in the facility and to limit the movement of residents, staff and visitors in order to protect people and property from a hazard.
The MES SIP for SY 2019-2022 is a collaborative work of the MES SPT which includes yours truly, the SH, the SBM coordinator, the student representative, the parent representative and the LGU representatives. The SIP serves as a road map as to where the school is going for the next three years.
